This month we have stated learning about Ancient China and are working on our Ancient China Magazines. We have also been working on writing responses to poems that we have read in class. We have been reviewing the language concepts we have worked on last trimester. We don't want to forget what we have learned so far!
We have been studying our academic vocabulary words in class the last few weeks and therefore the words have not been coming home. They will begin coming home in a week or two.

Class News Box Tops Contest WinnersWe rocked the Box Tops contest!!! We came in 1st place for upper grade classes. We also had the most Box Tops overall!! Thank you so much for all of your help collecting Box Tops. It really helped our classroom and our school. As a class, we won a $100 gift certificate to the book fair, and all teachers were given $50, so we had a total of $150 to spend at the Book Fair. I got a lot of great books that the kids wanted for our library. We also won an ice cream sundae party, which was an extra special treat! I have the best kids and the most awesome parents! Thank you for all your help and support!
PEPE will be on Tuesday and Thursday this year. Please wear tennis shoes and appropriate clothes. For the next few months, please bring a water bottle. It is hot out there!!
